Parents ask when a child should begin. There is no one answer on this site, and there is no published age minimum or age maximum.
What age to start lacrosse: there is no single answer
Readiness is not a birthday on this page. Some players arrive with a stick. Some arrive new to the game. The program does not turn a neighboring question about a specific age into an enrollment rule.
What changes as players get older
Younger players can spend a group hour on fundamentals. Older players can spend a specialty session on one gap, including college-prep inside elite training. The site does not sort athletes into age brackets.
A first group session: about an hour, and the first one is free
Group sessions are open to the public, about one hour, with a free trial on the first session. In our group sessions we help evaluate your skills and focus on fundamentals. We determine if private
How that hour is set up is in youth lacrosse training and group sessions.
When to ask about a private lesson instead
Specialty sessions are 1-on-1 or a private group, weekly, for 1 to 2 hours. That is the format when one player should have the coach’s time. The free trial described on the site is the group session, not a private lesson.
